How does the Dujiangyan Irrigation System work without a dam?

It uses a complex system of levees and channels to manage the Minjiang River. The natural flow is split and regulated to prevent floods while irrigating farmland, entirely avoiding conventional dam walls.

The three structural components are Yuzui (Fish Mouth diversion levee), Feishayan (Flying Sand Weir spillway), and Baopingkou (Bottle-Neck Channel).

How much time is needed for Panda Valley?

Can I hold a panda at Dujiangyan?

No. Touching, holding, or feeding the pandas is strictly forbidden at all facilities.

Is Dujiangyan worth visiting?
